Licensed Practical Nurse - Contract To Hire
Step into a rewarding contract-to-hire opportunity supporting students in a dynamic educational setting near Asbury Park, NJ. This position is ideal for a compassionate licensed practical nurse who is comfortable with specialized care for school-aged clients and wants to make an impact each day.
This part-time role involves working closely with one school, providing essential tube feeding and catheterization support. You’ll be a key member of the care team, ensuring students’ safety and well-being during their school day routine. The schedule is uniquely structured for work-life balance: Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 8:00 am, with additional afternoon/evening hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This role totals 22 hours per week, making it ideal for nurses seeking flexibility while maintaining meaningful patient interaction.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current, active LPN license for the state of New Jersey
Experience with tube feeding and catheterization (pediatric or school-based settings preferred)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Aptitude for working independently within a school environment
Willingness to complete all onboarding requirements, including two sets of fingerprints
Dedicated to supporting student needs with sensitivity and professionalism
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care including tube feedings and catheterization
Collaborate with school support staff and supervising RN/LPNs
Monitor student health conditions effectively throughout assigned shifts
Maintain accurate documentation following school health protocols
Participate in training and integrate best practices learned
