Job description
Step into an engaging opportunity as a dedicated school-based LVN, working in a supportive environment near Grover Beach, California. This contract position is essential to student wellness across a dynamic educational community, offering the chance to collaborate with a passionate team while making a direct impact on the lives of children and adolescents.
As part of the LVN Pool, you'll be onsite during the regular school year for 32.5 hours weekly, offering your expertise throughout the school day. Extended School Year (ESY) hours are also possible for those interested, with a sign-up process to determine additional coverage.
What we're looking for:
Active and unrestricted California LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) license
Experience providing nursing care in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
Compassionate, adaptable, and attentive to the varied health needs of students
Skilled in monitoring chronic conditions, administering medications, and managing acute health events
Ability to maintain accurate health records and adhere to established protocols
What you'll do: Deliver direct nursing services to students as part of a rotating LVN Pool
Administer medications, perform health screenings, and provide first aid
Support individualized care plans for students with special medical needs
Document all health services rendered with accuracy and confidentiality
Respond promptly to student health concerns or emergencies
Partner with educators, parents, and school administration to support safe, healthy learning environments
