School LPN - Lakewood, WA | School Year
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support students in a school setting in Lakewood, WA for the school year.
Position Details
Position: School LPN
Location: Lakewood, WA
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 16, 2027
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week
Pay Rate: $33-$38/hour
Required Experience: Ventilator & Trach experience
Required License: Active Washington LPN License
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care and support to students throughout the school day
Provide specialized care for students requiring ventilator and tracheostomy support
Monitor student health and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Maintain accurate and timely health records
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and healthcare providers
Follow individualized healthcare plans and school nursing protocols
Required Qualifications
Active Washington LPN License in good standing
Current CPR/BLS certification
Ventilator and tracheostomy experience required
Ability to meet Washington State background check and immunization requirements
Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in long-term care, assisted living, clinics, or acute care
Experience working in a school or pediatric setting
Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices
Experience supervising CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
