The North Plainfield School District is seeking a caring, student-centered School Nurse to support the health, safety, and well-being of our diverse student population.
Responsibilities
Assess and treat students who become ill or injured during the school day.
Maintain health records and document visits, treatments, and health concerns.
Administer medications according to district policy and applicable regulations.
Develop and implement individualized health plans when needed.
Support students with chronic health conditions
Train appropriate staff on emergency procedures when necessary.
Communicate with parents/guardians and healthcare providers.
Complete health Screenings
Immunization and Health Compliance
Maintain accurate health records.
Monitor illness trends within the school.
Support emergency drills and crisis response.
Provide health Education
Qualifications Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
New Jersey School Nurse Certificate preferred.
Current CPR and First Aid Certification required.
Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
Spanish speaking preferred.

Compensation and benefits are provided in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Salary: $69,630 (minimum) to $103,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
