Job description
School Occupational Therapist | Archbald, Pennsylvania
Take the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in early childhood education by supporting students as a licensed Occupational Therapist in an onsite contract position. This role serves young learners in early childhood settings throughout Lackawanna County, offering a chance to contribute your expertise to help shape students development and engagement in school life.
Enjoy a part-time schedule of 21 hours per week, working 23 days, with the potential for the role to expand to 5 days as the school year progresses. Begin making a difference as soon as possible, with the contract extending through June 16, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Occupational Therapy license in Pennsylvania
Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
Skilled in working with young children, especially within early childhood environments
Ability to secure or provide required Pennsylvania clearances
Strong communication abilities and a collaborative team approach
Comfortable interviewing via Zoom
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver onsite occupational therapy services, adapting interventions to fit early childhood learning needs
Design and implement individualized strategies to support students fine motor, sensory, and functional skills development
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to facilitate student progress and promote school participation
Complete required documentation and progress reports in a timely, organized manner
Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
Support students independence in classroom routines and daily activities
