Job description
Step into a meaningful educational setting supporting students with diverse needs for a contract position starting September 21st through January 4th (no work during winter break) with the potential for extension. In this role, you'll provide essential Occupational Therapy services in a special education environment, impacting the daily success of students in a Setting IV program.
The position offers 20 hours per week, spread over five days, and you will work closely with a dedicated team of educators and support staff in a dynamic, student-centered atmosphere.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist license with school-based OT experience.
Demonstrated experience supporting students in a Setting IV or similar special education environment.
Reliable transportation is essential.
Successful completion of both agency onboarding and district background check procedures.
If previously credentialed, must be in good standing from past assignments.
Ability to commit to the full term of the assignment and fit within established school hours and schedule.
Responsibilities Include: Delivering targeted OT services and interventions to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Collaborating with special education teams, teachers, and families to support student progress.
Completing all documentation and reporting requirements accurately and on time.
Adjusting interventions in response to student progress, classroom needs, and collaborative input.
Prioritizing the needs of students and maintaining compliance with district and licensure guidelines.
