Job description
Step into a dynamic educational environment as a full-time, in-person Occupational Therapist, working alongside dedicated professionals for the duration of the school year. Desired skills and qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license (OTR) with credentials meeting state requirements
Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy setting preferred
Understanding of IEPs, progress reports, and documentation relative to student support
Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities
Ability to adapt therapy interventions to individual student needs and learning styles
Initiative and creativity for developing effective, engaging therapeutic activities
Role responsibilities: Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs for occupational therapy services
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to integrate therapeutic practices into classroom routines
Monitor, document, and report student progress toward therapy goals and update records as required
Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and advocating for appropriate student services
Offer guidance and resources for teachers to support students' functional skills within the school setting
