Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This position, located near Carmel, IN, covers a maternity leave from November 23rd through March 10th. You'll play a vital role in helping students develop key skills for academic and daily living success during a pivotal time in their education.
Key Qualifications:
Current OT license in the state (or eligibility for licensure)
School-based Occupational Therapy experience preferred
Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation standards
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
Ability to adapt interventions to a diverse range of student needs
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs
Evaluate students' functional performance and contribute to multidisciplinary assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
Monitor progress and maintain accurate, timely documentation
Advise teachers and staff on classroom modifications and strategies to enhance student participation
