Job description
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' growth and independence as a part-time Occupational Therapist! This contract position near Clinton Township, MI, is ideal for a skilled OT who thrives in a dynamic school setting and values a balanced schedule. With a commitment of approximately one day per week, you'll make a substantial difference while maintaining the flexibility you need.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering direct and consultative OT services to students in alignment with IEPs and educational goals
Conducting evaluations, assessments, and documentation to track progress and inform interventions
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to support student achievement
Developing and implementing individual or group therapy sessions addressing sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skills
Contributing OT expertise in team meetings, IEP development, and student support planning
Traveling between sites if working with another nearby charter school
Key qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current State of Michigan OT licensure
Prior experience providing occupational therapy in a school environment preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively
Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs and educational settings
Adept at documentation and utilization of digital record-keeping tools
