School Occupational Therapist | Dayton, Ohio

Key Skills and Experience Needed:
Valid Occupational Therapy license
Experience in school-based OT or willingness to learn
Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs)

Strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs
Effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess and provide therapy to students within school and home settings, targeting fine motor, adaptive, and sensory needs
Develop and implement student-centered treatment plans and goals
Participate in IEP meetings, contributing evaluation findings and progress updates
Maintain accurate records and comply with all required documentation
Deliver consultative support to educators and families regarding OT strategies
Adapt approaches for various learning environments and unique cases
Support student participation and independence in classroom routines and school activities
