Job description
Take your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to the next level by supporting students during the school year! This full-time, contract position is located near Douglasville, GA-just 20 miles west of Atlanta-providing you with an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the academic and personal growth of children in a dynamic school setting.
Your experience in school-based occupational therapy will empower you to help students overcome barriers, develop essential life skills, and achieve their fullest potential throughout the school year.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Georgia licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
Previous experience in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
Ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with IEP guidelines
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with students, educators, and families
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy to students with diverse needs
Evaluate and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
Collaborate with special education teams to craft and implement IEPs
Educate and support teachers and staff with strategies to help students succeed in the classroom
Maintain accurate and timely records as required by school district standards
