Job description
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services within a supportive school setting near Downingtown, PA. This part-time role is perfect for someone eager to make a genuine impact on K-8 students, focusing on those with owed hours and compensatory service needs. The position is slated to start as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the school year.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Pennsylvania
Previous experience supporting students in a school environment highly preferred
Comfort working with elementary and middle grade students (K-8)
Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
Ability to independently plan and deliver compensatory OT services
Flexibility and organizational skills to effectively manage a dynamic caseload
Role Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services as outlined in IEPs and compensatory plans for students in grades K-8
Assess and document individual student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed
Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure coordinated support
Maintain accurate service logs and timely communication regarding student goals and achievements
Adhere to school policies, state regulations, and best practice standards in all aspects of service delivery
Work on-site during school hours (8:30am-2:30pm) for approximately 30 hours per week
