Job description
Step into a rewarding part-time contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026/2027 school year. This position supports students in an engaging educational environment near Elgin, SC. Qualifications:
Current and valid South Carolina Occupational Therapist license required
Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
Skilled in completing assessments, developing IEP goals, and documenting progress
Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to their individualized education programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
Assess students' physical, sensory, and developmental needs within the school environment
Develop and implement customized interventions and strategies that enhance student participation in daily school activities
Maintain comprehensive records of progress and provide input for IEP meetings
Educate and guide school staff on strategies to improve students' independence
