School Occupational Therapist - Estero, Florida
Make a real impact in the lives of students by bringing your expertise in Occupational Therapy to a dynamic school environment near Estero, FL. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking a flexible, part-time schedule while making meaningful contributions to K-8 learners. The position begins ASAP and runs until May 13, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of one onsite day per week (7.5 hours).
Desired Skills and Experience:
Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in Florida
Experience working in school settings, home health, or healthcare environments
Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and other therapists to support student development
Comfortable managing a diverse K-8 caseload
Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to helping students achieve their fullest potential
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled occupational therapy services to K-8 students in a school setting
Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate updates to staff and families
Work onsite collaboratively with other school professionals to create a supportive educational atmosphere
Contribute actively to IEP meetings, goal setting, and consultation with multidisciplinary teams
Provide insights and recommendations for classroom modifications and student support strategies
