Job description
Make an impactful difference in students' lives by providing Occupational Therapy services in an engaging, school-based setting. This contract opportunity is available near Kansas City, KS and runs through late May 2027. You'll have the unique flexibility to create your own daily schedule, visiting 1-3 schools per day and serving a diverse caseload of 50-60 students across multiple campuses, including elementary and special programs.
Leverage your OT expertise in an environment that values collaboration and individualized care. As the licensed Occupational Therapist on this assignment, you'll play a vital role in supporting student growth, fostering independence, and helping students thrive in their academic settings.
What we're looking for:
Active Kansas Occupational Therapy licensure (required)
Experience providing OT services in a school setting is highly valued
Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and other support staff
Ability to manage and prioritize a moderate caseload across multiple locations
Initiative and adaptability in organizing school visits and scheduling sessions
Commitment to student-focused, evidence-based intervention and support
Role Highlights: Provide OT assessments, direct and consultative therapy, and progress monitoring for students
Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to develop and implement IEP goals
Offer on-site support at various elementary schools and special programs
Maintain detailed documentation and communicate therapy progress to stakeholders
