Job description
Embark on a rewarding journey supporting students in grades K-8 as a dedicated Occupational Therapist in Landenberg, PA. This part-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a small caseload, impacting the lives of children in their formative years. The assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, providing weekly OT services within school hours for an optimal work-life balance.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in Pennsylvania
Experience in school-based OT settings or working with children
Familiarity with students on the autism spectrum and diverse learning needs
Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to provide individualized and group interventions
Skill in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
Responsibilities: Deliver weekly occupational therapy services to approximately 8 students, ages 6-11, with potential for 2 additional students following evaluation
Serve students across autism and non-autism populations, addressing fine motor, sensory, and functional needs
Collaborate with educators, aides, and families to support student IEPs and progress goals
Conduct assessments and participate in eligibility evaluations
Document therapy sessions and student progress in alignment with school standards
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to student support planning
