Job description
Step into an opportunity where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will have a direct impact on the lives of young students. This contract position offers a dynamic setting near Madison, WI, with immediate in-person start and an assignment running through June 30th. You'll provide essential services to a caseload of 32 children from 4K through elementary, focusing on 24 requiring direct intervention.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and active Occupational Therapy license for the state required
Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
Comfort with pediatric populations, particularly ages 4K through elementary
Skilled at assessing, planning, and delivering individualized treatment
Effective communicator with students, families, and educational staff
Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with Home Health or healthcare OT environments is a bonus
Responsibilities: Deliver direct occupational therapy services to 24 students according to individualized education programs (IEPs)
Support an additional group for consultative and monitoring needs
Conduct assessments, develop treatment goals, and maintain required documentation
Collaborate with teachers and school teams to promote student progress
Guide classroom modifications and interventions for optimal student participation
Attend IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations as needed
Maintain open, responsive communication with families and staff
