Job description
Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students' growth and independence in a school-based setting near Oakland, CA! This contract position is perfect for an Occupational Therapist eager to make a meaningful impact across a diverse K-12 caseload. Full-time hours are available, with an immediate start date. The assignment runs for four months and is a fantastic opportunity for the school year.
What We're Looking For:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in California
Experience working with school-aged children or within K-12 school settings
Expertise in evaluating, planning, and delivering OT services tailored to individualized education plans (IEPs)
Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
Ability to adapt interventions for students across various ages and abilities
Commitment to professional, ethical practice within educational settings
Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive OT assessments and direct therapy to students in kindergarten through 12th grade
Develop and implement personalized interventions that promote student engagement and success in the classroom and beyond
Support teachers, staff, and families with strategies, resources, and training to enhance students' access to curriculum
Document progress, update IEPs, and contribute to team meetings as an invested part of the educational team
Participate in ongoing collaboration with special education staff and related service providers
