Job description
Embark on a rewarding opportunity to support students as an Occupational Therapist in a local school setting near Ocean Springs, MS. Through this contract position, you'll help children achieve functional goals that foster greater independence in and out of the classroom. Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Previous experience in educational or pediatric settings is highly preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
Ability to conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, and implement therapy plans
Adaptable, patient, and passionate about supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities: Evaluate students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities as related to educational outcomes
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans reflecting students' unique needs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate interventions into the classroom
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
Participate in IEP meetings and provide clear recommendations for accommodations or modifications
Offer consultative support and professional guidance to staff and families
