Job description
Use your skills as an Occupational Therapist to make a meaningful difference in student growth and development. A full-time contract opportunity is available, beginning September 8, 2026, and extending through the school year with the potential for continuation. Key Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license issued by New York State
Previous experience in a school setting preferred
Expertise in providing therapy services to students with diverse needs
Strong organizational, time management, and communication abilities
Adaptable to varying caseloads and school environments
Primary Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy interventions to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop strategies that support student participation and achievement
Conduct assessments and contribute to the development and review of IEP goals
Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions as required by district policies
Adapt and modify activities and classroom environments to facilitate student access and learning
This assignment offers a full-time schedule of five days a week, with specific caseload and on-site locations to be determined closer to the start date. You'll work as a valued resource within a supportive educational community, helping students build the skills they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
