Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving students in a supportive educational environment near Pottstown, PA. This part-time occupational therapy position is ideal for a dedicated professional passionate about helping children succeed in their school setting. You'll primarily provide specialized OT services to a small caseload of students, focusing on compensatory services and delivering owed therapy hours.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Pennsylvania
Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Ability to assess and develop individualized plans tailored to each student's needs
Flexibility and reliability to meet scheduled school hours
Dedication to promoting student participation, independence, and well-being in the learning environment
Core Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy interventions according to student IEP requirements
Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate documentation per school policies
Develop and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams and families
Focus on supporting students with compensatory and owed therapy needs
Clearly communicate progress and strategies to families and relevant staff
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting
