Job description

Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Connecticut (or eligibility)
Experience delivering OT services within school environments preferred
Strong knowledge of IEP processes and pediatric therapy best practices
Exceptional communication and organization skills
Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and confidentiality
Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and interpret results to help determine students' needs
Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors to enhance classroom participation
Work closely with special education teams to integrate OT goals with other academic and behavioral interventions
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain detailed records per district and state requirements
Provide guidance and resources to educators and families to optimize student outcomes
Monitor and report student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
