Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as an Occupational Therapist near Sun Prairie, WI. In this in-person position, you'll work closely with a caseload of 32 elementary and 4K students, primarily delivering direct services to about 24 children through the end of the school year (June 30th).
This role is an excellent fit for professionals with a true passion for pediatric occupational therapy in educational settings. You will draw on your expertise to help students develop essential life skills, maximize their independence, and fully participate in their school environment.
Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapist licensure in Wisconsin
Experience in school-based OT strongly preferred
Familiarity with pediatric caseloads in healthcare or home health an advantage
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs
Positive, flexible approach and commitment to student-centered care
Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services to approximately 24 students within a caseload of 32
Evaluate students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support students' progress
Document treatment sessions, monitor progress, and contribute to IEP development
Offer consultation and support to classroom staff on OT strategies and accommodations
Maintain compliance with all district and regulatory documentation requirements
