Job TitlePart-Time Traffic Enforcement OfficerJob DescriptionThis is part-time work in the protection of life through the enforcement of traffic regulations. This job requires you to work outside regardless of weather conditions. Examples of work include: Remains in the vicinity of the greatest danger to children going to and from school. Controls the traffic of children and vehicles to allow safe street crossings. Slows fast-moving traffic passing a school. Reports reckless drivers and traffic violators. Testifies in court relating to traffic violations. Assists school patrol in controlling traffic and street crossings. Performs related work as required.Special RequirementsPhysical requirements: Applicants must be certified by a licensed physician, designated as satisfactory by the appointing authority, in good health, and physically fit for the performance of assigned duties. Note: This is a civilian position and does not have sworn status.Kind of ExaminationApplications are being accepted to fill a vacancy and any other vacancies that may occur during the life of the register.
