Job description
School Physical Therapist | Evanston, Illinois
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity where you’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of students from PreK through 8th grade. Located near Evanston, IL, this engaging role offers the chance to work two days a week about 16 hours with a dynamic caseload across multiple schools. Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting initial physical therapy evaluations as well as re-evaluations, helping students reach their fullest potential in educational environments.
Experience and Qualifications Sought:
Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable
Familiarity with the needs of PreK-8th grade students
Strong communication abilities for collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
Ability to organize and prioritize caseload effectively
Detail-oriented with thorough record-keeping and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students as assigned
Develop and update individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within school environments
Provide ongoing feedback to teachers and family members regarding student progress
Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of services provided
Participate in planning and team meetings as needed

Compensation for this position ranges from $37.50 to $64.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
