Job description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, working 40 hours per week through the end of the school year. Desired Qualifications:
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
Proven experience supporting children in a school setting
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
Solid understanding of special education processes and laws
Ability to develop and implement IEPs and participate in multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education
Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and school environments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results
Develop strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments
Provide consultation and direct services to students and families
Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts
Monitor student progress and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
Advocate for student needs within the school community
