Job description
Support student growth and well-being by providing essential psychological services in a dynamic school environment near Buffalo Grove, IL. This contract position offers a meaningful opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students reach their fullest potential.
Ideal candidates utilize strong communication and assessment skills to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs in diverse student populations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field
Valid and current state certification/licensure as a School Psychologist
Previous experience working within a school setting preferred
Familiarity with Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
Demonstrated ability to conduct psychoeducational assessments, write comprehensive reports, and interpret results for IEP/504 teams
Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
Flexible and adaptable to changing school environments and needs
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and educational assessments for students referred for services
Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Develop and recommend evidence-based interventions and supports for academic, social, and behavioral growth
Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed
Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to create supportive strategies and accommodations
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
