Job description
Embark on a rewarding contract position as a School Psychologist, serving a vibrant high school community near New Britain, CT. This full-time, onsite opportunity spans 35 hours weekly, from August 24, 2026, through May 2027, with the potential to extend through the full academic year. You'll play a crucial role in supporting high school students' educational and emotional needs while collaborating with dedicated educators and staff.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active licensure and certification as a School Psychologist in Connecticut
Prior experience working in a school-based setting, preferably at the high school level
Strong skills in evaluation administration and proficiency in preparing and presenting PPT (Planning and Placement Team) reports
Ability to work onsite, fostering relationships with students and colleagues
Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for high school students
Prepare and present findings during PPT meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop student-centered plans
Provide individual and group counseling to support students' academic and emotional growth
Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress and interventions
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in school psychology
