Job description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a School Psychologist in a contract role near Zachary, LA. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work within the school setting, collaborating with educators and families to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Louisiana
Strong understanding of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education procedures
Previous school-based experience preferred
Outstanding communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Familiarity with diverse age groups and a range of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students across multiple schools
Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student learning and mental wellness
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families regarding individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
Provide consultation and recommendations to school staff and families for student support
Assist in crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school community
Maintain thorough, confidential, and compliant documentation and records
Role Details:
Contract position starting soon, with defined start and end dates
Typical work week consists of standard school hours
Caseload includes a diverse mix of students with a variety of academic and emotional needs
Travel between assigned schools may be required
District supervision will be provided, if applicable
