Job description
Take the next step in your career by providing essential support to students as a School Psychologist in the Rio Rancho, NM area. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic secondary caseload for the duration of the school year, from now through May 28th. Collaborate with educators and families to create positive educational experiences and foster student growth.
What you'll bring:
Active or eligible to obtain an NM PED license required
Previous experience as a School Psychologist in an educational setting
Proficiency with Evaluations and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs) is highly valued
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families in a school environment
Professionalism and commitment to upholding ethical standards
What you'll do:
Provide psychological assessments and collaborate on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Conduct Evaluations and participate in Manifestation Determination Reviews
Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health needs
Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students
Maintain thorough and confidential records
Deliver crisis intervention and support as needed
Serve as a resource on mental health issues and interventions
