Job description
Make a significant impact in the lives of students by supporting their academic and emotional growth! This contract opportunity, located near Statesville, NC, is available for a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist. Youll work full-time from ASAP through May 28, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. Your expertise will influence students across elementary, middle, and high school settings.
In this role, you will focus on re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments, while occasionally conducting initial evaluations. Collaboration, communication, and strong professional judgment are essential as you partner with teachers, families, and administration to support the diverse needs of students.
Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure required
Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
Skilled in conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments
Comfortable working across multiple age groups (elementary, middle, high school)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in re-evaluation and eligibility meetings
Complete functional behavioral assessments and occasional initial evaluations
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
Accurately document findings and recommendations
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
