Job description
Make a meaningful impact in the educational journey of K-12 students by leveraging your expertise as a School Psychologist in a full-time contract position. Located in a welcoming community near Sylva, NC, this opportunity allows you to work closely with a dedicated team of professionals committed to promoting academic and personal growth for every student.
Your skills in conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations will play a key role in developing effective support plans and fostering student success. You'll collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to address a variety of learning, behavioral, and emotional needs within the K-12 setting.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
State licensure or eligibility to obtain School Psychologist certification in North Carolina
Experience delivering psychological services in K-12 public school environments
Strong background in conducting assessments, evaluations, and interventions
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform psychological assessments and evaluations to identify learning and behavioral needs
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs)
Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students
Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support academic and personal student goals
Support crisis intervention and program planning initiatives
Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school and district guidelines
