Job description
Registered Nurse Contract Assignment
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a Registered Nurse serving students in an educational setting near Bangor, ME. Key Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of Maine (or willingness to obtain)
Previous nursing experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
Strong clinical judgment and ability to forge positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and changing needs
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver direct nursing care to students, including health assessments, medication administration, and emergency response
Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with specific health needs
Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to foster a safe and healthy school environment
Maintain accurate health records and documentation in line with school and district policies
Participate in health screenings, immunization management, and health education
Promote preventive health practices and wellness initiatives within the school community
