Job description
Make a meaningful impact in education as a credentialed school nurse supporting students across a variety of school environments. This is a contract opportunity for an experienced RN with a current CTC School Nurse Credential and an audiometry certificate. You'll provide essential health services to preschool and elementary-aged children throughout the academic year, traveling between several rural schools in the San Benito area and partnering districts.

What you'll bring:
Current California RN license and CTC School Nurse Credential (CSN required)
Audiometry certificate, with experience performing hearing and vision screenings
Previous work in school nursing, particularly with pre-K students, is highly desirable
Strong communication and ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to providing care in diverse educational settings
Able to travel between multiple sites within the school week
What you'll do: Deliver school nursing services and promote student wellness for preschool and elementary populations
Administer vision and hearing screenings per state and local guidelines
Manage health plans for students with chronic conditions, supporting IEP and 504 teams
Respond to student injuries, illnesses, and medication needs during the school day
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents, offering training and health guidance as needed
Serve as a resource on health matters for the school community
