School Registered Nurse (RN) - Santa Maria, CA
CareStaff Partners is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for a school-based contract opportunity at a High School in Santa Maria, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced school nurse looking to make a direct impact on the health, safety, and well-being of high school students.
Position Details
Position: School Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Santa Maria, CA
Start Date: ASAP
Contract End Date: June 11, 2027
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Shift: Day shift
Pay Rate: $43-$49/hour
Setting: High School
Responsibilities
The School RN will provide comprehensive school nursing services, including:
Managing student health needs throughout the school day
Developing and implementing individualized health plans
Providing medication administration and health-related care
Conducting health screenings and supporting immunization requirements
Communicating with parents, healthcare providers, teachers, and school staff
Participating in IEP and 504 meetings and addressing health-related accommodations
Maintaining accurate health records and documentation
Responding to student illnesses, injuries, and medical needs
Supporting the overall health and safety of the school community
Requirements
Active California RN license
California School Nurse Services Credential (SC3A) - clear preferred; preliminary may be considered
Previous school nursing experience preferred
High school experience strongly preferred
Ability to independently perform the full scope of school nursing responsibilities
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
