Job Description
nA client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support the overnight operations of a comprehensive student health center located on a premier boarding school campus in Exeter, NH. This health center functions similarly to a small hospital and provides urgent care, inpatient observation, chronic disease management, behavioral health support, and 24/7 nursing services to approximately 1,200 high school students from across the United States and around the world.
nThe ideal candidate is a confident, independent nurse who thrives in acute care environments and is comfortable making clinical decisions overnight with physician support available on-call.
nResponsibilities
nnProvide overnight nursing care for students requiring inpatient observation and treatment
nAssess, triage, and manage walk-in health concerns and urgent medical needs
nMonitor and care for students admitted to the health center's inpatient unit
nAdminister medications and treatments according to physician orders
nCollaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, counselors, and support staff to coordinate care
nRespond to acute illnesses, injuries, and behavioral health concerns
nAccurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes
nSupport students managing chronic medical conditions while attending school
nEscalate emergencies appropriately and coordinate hospital transfers when necessary.
n nSkills and Requirements
nnActive Registered Nurse (RN) license
nMinimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
nStrong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
nExperience working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
nCurrent BLS certification
nAbility to pass background check and required health screenings. (Hep B, COVID vaccine)
nEmergency Department (ED) experience ICU, Critical Care, or NICU experience
nUrgent Care experience
nExperience caring for adolescent populations
nExperience managing chronic conditions and behavioral health concerns
