Job description
Exciting opportunity for an experienced RN to support students and staff in a vibrant school environment near Arlington, VA! This contract role is ideal for a dedicated nurse passionate about providing essential health services, promoting student well-being, and collaborating with educators and families.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia, or eligibility to obtain
Previous experience working with pediatric populations or within a school setting preferred
Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills
CPR/BLS certification
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Adaptability to a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct nursing care, including first aid, medication administration, and health care procedures to students
Develop and implement personalized care plans for students with chronic health conditions
Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records in compliance with state and district regulations
Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families, providing education and guidance on health-related topics
Collaborate with school administrators and other professionals to promote a safe and healthy environment
Respond effectively to urgent/emergency situations
