School Registered Nurse (RN) in Big Lake, MN
Embrace a rewarding contract opportunity making a direct impact in a school setting as a dedicated Registered Nurse. Support a single student in need of specialized care in the Monticello MN area, assisting throughout the school day in a 1:1 capacity. This part-time assignment is ideal for an RN passionate about student wellbeing, eager for a consistent but flexible weekday schedule.
Key Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, with eligibility to practice in Minnesota
Previous experience supporting students in educational, pediatric, or special needs environments is highly desirable
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Compassion and patience to work one-on-one with students
Ability to collaborate with school teams, bus staff, and caregivers
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to a student with individualized health needs, from pick-up at home, during transport, throughout the shortened school day, and on the return trip
Monitor for changes in medical status, document nursing interventions, and communicate any needs to parents and school staff
Ensure safety and comfort for the student at all times
Work approximately 22 hours each week, Monday through Friday, typically 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Engage in ongoing communication with the special education team, caregivers, and other related service providers
Participate in virtual interviews as requested by the district

Compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 to $58.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
