Job description
Registered Nurse - School-Based Contract Role
Make a meaningful impact every day by working as a Registered Nurse in an onsite, school-based setting near Boston, GA. In this contract role, you'll provide essential one-on-one care for a student with specialized medical needs, fostering not just health, but also a supportive environment for learning. With a full-time, 40-hour workweek, you'll be an integral part of a student's academic journey while collaborating with education professionals and families.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of Georgia
Current BLS and CPR certifications
Experience providing tracheostomy and feeding tube care (preferred)
Previous experience working in pediatric, school, or one-on-one nursing settings is advantageous
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver dedicated 1:1 nursing care to a student with a trach and feeding tube, ensuring adherence to physician orders and care plans
Monitor and document the student's ongoing health status, responding quickly to any changes or emergencies
Provide daily support including medication administration and health education, as needed
Work closely with educators, therapists, and family members to support the student's well-being in the classroom environment
Maintain accurate medical records and comply with all relevant school and health regulations
