Job description
Make an immediate impact supporting student health as a Registered Nurse in a school setting near Henderson, NV. This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated RN with a passion for working with children and helping create a safe, supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
Previous experience in a school or pediatric nursing capacity strongly preferred
Current CPR certification
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Ability to respond effectively and calmly in high-stress situations
Skilled in maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff, managing acute and chronic health conditions during school hours
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following all nursing protocols and school policies
Document and maintain accurate health records for students, ensuring compliance with regulations
Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families on individualized healthcare plans
Support public health initiatives, including immunization verification and infection control measures within the school environment
Educate students and staff about wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management
