Job description

Ideal candidates bring experience as either an RN (Registered Nurse) or LPN/LVN (Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse), particularly in school or pediatric settings. Your clinical skills will be key as you manage everyday health needs, respond to acute situations, and partner with faculty, students, and families to ensure a safe learning community.
Desired Qualifications:
Active and current RN or LPN/LVN license in Massachusetts
Previous work in a school, pediatric, or public health setting is highly valued
Familiarity with care planning for chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies
Strong communication and documentation abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
CPR/BLS certification
Key Responsibilities: Administer first aid and manage acute health needs during the school day
Oversee medication administration and care for students with ongoing health plans
Maintain detailed health records in accordance with school policies and state regulations
Provide education to staff and students on wellness, hygiene, and safety topics
Support students with individualized health concerns, ensuring an inclusive approach to care
Participate in emergency response protocols as needed
