Job description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving as an Elementary School Registered Nurse for a leave coverage through the Christmas break. Located near Manchester, NH, this role supports a vibrant school community, ensuring the health and safety of young students. Work closely with elementary-aged children and staff, providing essential daily care during school hours, 7:15 AM - 2:45 PM.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license in New Hampshire (or eligibility for NH RN licensure)
Previous experience as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing preferred
Strong clinical judgment and emergency response skills
Excellent communication and record-keeping abilities
Compassionate attitude with an ability to connect with school-aged children
Responsibilities: Deliver direct nursing care for students, including medication administration, chronic condition management, and first aid for illness or injuries
Promote health education and preventative care within the school environment
Maintain accurate, confidential student health records
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student health needs
Respond promptly to emergencies, making sound decisions even in high-pressure situations
Uphold infection prevention protocols and assist in creating a healthy school environment
