School Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse who thrives working independently within a school setting, managing a range of health needs for a diverse student population. This contract-to-hire opportunity lets you make a meaningful impact while developing your professional experience in school-based care.
Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day health services for students across grades K–12, addressing everything from routine first aid to coordinated care for chronic conditions. This isn't a 1:1 assignment—you'll provide leadership, guidance, and direct clinical care for the whole school community.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Active RN license, in good standing
Previous experience in K–12 or school-based nursing highly valued
Confidence managing health emergencies and supporting the holistic well-being of students
Ability to communicate clearly with children, staff, and families
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions
Role Highlights & Responsibilities:
Administer medications and first aid, and manage student health plans
Maintain accurate health records in accordance with applicable laws and policies
Respond promptly to accidents, injuries, and urgent health needs during school hours
Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student success
Provide health education and promote wellness throughout the school
Monday–Friday, regular school hours (approx. 7:30am–4:00pm), 40 hours per week
