Job Description\ N School Registered Nurse (RN) \ N Setting: Schools\ N Job Type: Contract - Full Time\ N Pay: $30 / Hour\ N Hours: 37.50\ N Location: Louisville, KY\ N
The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. The School RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students within the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promoting the health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronic conditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff and healthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis’ philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
\ N Minimum Requirements:
\ N Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
\ N Bachelor's Degree, preferred
\ N School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract
\ N One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience, preferred
\ N Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
\ N Current CPR if applicable
\ N TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
\ N Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
\ N Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
\ N Must be at least 18 years of age
