Job TitleJourney Elementary School Resource OfficerEffective: November month position (work 185 days for full school year)Qualifications/Requirements:Previous experience in law enforcement is required, and school resource officer experience is preferred.Must meet local licensing requirements as a security officer, as defined through St. Charles County.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, staff, and the community.Excellent decision-making ability, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, independent judgement, and problem-solving skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.Proficient in conflict de-escalation and emergency response techniques.The ability to carry a firearm, in accordance with local laws and district policies.Location: Journey ElementaryPay Rate: Commensurate with experience; minimum of $25.23 per hourIncludes full benefits package:Paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid vacation, personal, and sick daysParticipation in the Public Education Employees Retirement System (PEERS)
