Secretary PositionHourly pay: $12.40 per hour, 8 hours, 200 daysPaid health insurance for employeeQualificationsProvides quality customer service to fellow employees, students and guests of the school.Proficiency in typing, spelling, grammar and composition.Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of office equipment, machines and computers.Three years' experience as a secretary.Ability to work with and communicate with supervisors, office co-workers, faculty, students, and parents.High School Diploma or Equivalent.Reports To: Building Principal/Assistant PrincipalSupervises: N/AJob Overview: To maintain a smooth and efficient operation of the school office so maximum positive impact on the education of children/young people can be realized.Essential Duties:Act as a receptionist, being cordial in welcoming visitors to school.Receive telephone calls and take/send messages.Maintain accurate data in student information system.May include collecting and depositing school funds.May include assisting and running data for state reports.May include work associated with back-to-school operations.Provide routine first aid to students.Type any school reports or correspondence required by the principal.Any other duties assigned by the Principal/Assistant PrincipalTerms of Employment: 185 DaysWork Environment: Duties for this position are typically in an indoor office setting.Physical Requirements: While performing the duties for this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting objects of no more than 30 pounds.Evaluation: In accordance with Board Policy and appropriate procedural regulations.
