School Security Officer - Part-TimeGloucester Township CampusDeadline: This position will be filled in no less than ten (10) days after the date of this posting.Qualifications:Previous experience in law enforcement or security work.Valid New Jersey Driver's License.Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board of education may find appropriate and acceptable.Meet the health qualifications required of all personnel.Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal alien status.Meets NJ residency requirements or willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days of employment.Must follow the guidelines of the Camden County Technical Schools' Nepotism Policy, File Code: 0142.1.Salary/Position: $20.00 per hour (Scheduled to meet the needs of the school district). This position is ineligible for health, dental, or board-paid insurance benefits.Interviews are at the discretion of the superintendent and/or designee and based on qualification for the position.The Board of Education declares it to be the policy of this district to provide an equal opportunity for all applicants regardless of age, color, creed, national origin, race, religion, sex, marital status, disability, ancestry, affectional or sexual orientation, familial status, liability for service in the armed forces of the United States, or nationality.Position Goal: To assist in the educational process by securing and protecting students, staff and school property.Reports To: Supervisor assigned per the CCTS' Organizational ChartPerformance Responsibilities:Assist with supervision of student and staff parking.Assist with morning and afternoon supervision of student transportation services.Assist with building evacuation and emergency procedures.Assist in the development, processing and administration of the student, staff and visitor identification systems.Assist in the maintenance and operation of the school district video security system.Maintain and distribute staff communication devices.Assist in the coordination of security assignments for school activities.Consult with division heads on methods of increasing security in and about school premises.Act as a liaison with public safety authorities on matters affecting school security.Maintain a security log and prepares reports as directed.Assist in conducting security related investigations.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor per the CCTS' Organizational Chart/or designee.Approved: November 20, 2002Revised: April 13, 2011
