This School Security Officer position is a front-line school safety role focused on maintaining a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors in a school setting in Rockford, IL .
Location: Rockford, IL
Pay Rate: $17/hr
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 21 years old
20-hour security training course certifiacte
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Authorization to work in the United States
What You'll Be Doing
Your day would likely include:
Patrolling hallways, stairwells, entrances, and school grounds
Monitoring visitors and controlling access to the building
Watching security cameras and responding to suspicious activity
Assisting students, staff, and visitors
Reporting incidents and documenting patrols
Supporting school administrators during emergencies or disciplinary situations
Operating metal detectors and other security equipment when required
