Job description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a School Social Worker working with middle school students in a supportive, collaborative environment. This contract position offers the flexibility to create a consistent schedule of three days per week (.6 FTE), within school hours from 7:40 am to 2:40 pm. Running from August 24, 2026, to June 9, 2026, you'll engage primarily with a traditional middle school caseload and benefit from mentorship and guidance, especially suited to professionals looking to grow in this field-on-site support is available from a full-time colleague.

Engaging directly with students and staff, you'll play a key part in fostering a positive school climate and providing invaluable social and emotional support.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid School Social Worker approval (310 or preliminary authorization required)
SSW certification
Experience in a school-based setting, ideally with middle school populations
Strong ability to build rapport with diverse students and collaborate with educators and families
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards
Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group interventions to students facing social, emotional, or academic challenges
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and counselors to create comprehensive support plans
Engage families and coordinate resources for students in need
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
This position offers competitive hourly compensation between $45 and $53, along with eligibility for healthcare benefits, plus housing and meal/incidentals allowances. Specific benefit details will be shared post-application.
