This position is designed for an enthusiastic and dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) seeking pivotal experience in both educational and healthcare-related environments.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLPA licensure or eligibility in California
Previous experience or practicum in schools, pediatric settings, or healthcare environments
Solid understanding of speech-language strategies and therapy techniques
Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and families
Enthusiasm for gathering detailed observation notes and documentation
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive atmosphere for students of diverse backgrounds
Primary Responsibilities: Deliver direct speech and language interventions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Support individualized education plans (IEPs) through targeted activities and progress monitoring
Accurately document session details, student progress, and pertinent observations
Gather and organize detailed communication data for evaluation and reporting purposes
Collaborate actively with SLPs, educators, and other multidisciplinary team members
Contribute to a supportive learning environment, building student confidence and engagement
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices
